Raise and lower the shade in either direction to allow for privacy. Plus eliminate the lift cord, enabling the shade or blind to be easily raised or lowered with the touch of a finger. Please be aware that most top-down/bottom-up shades (regardless of manufacturer) have a small gap at the top that will allow light to come through.
